RMIT University has been involved in legal education since the 60's. First with the articled clerks course and now with the Juris Doctor. The Juris Doctor program saw RMIT University return to teaching Australian students to become admitted as lawyers in 2007.  Ever since then the Juris Doctor has gone from strength to strength and it's about time RMIT JD alumni got together to share experiences, network, have a drink or two and hear from some brilliant speakers.

The inaugural RMIT JD Alumni event will be held at The European, 161 Spring Street, Melbourne on 24 July 2014 at 6:30pm.

Join us for a night of wine and French cheeses at Melbourne's newest cheese cellar (photos below) and hear from our two brilliant speakers in conversation about careers in the law and the value of an RMIT Juris Doctor Degree. You will also have an opportunity to connect with your fellow RMIT JD alumni and hear about their experience since leaving RMIT.

The speakers will be Mr Rob Hulls, ex Victorian Deputy Premier and State Attorney General and His Honour Judge Ian Gray ex Victorian Chief Magistrate and current Victorian Coroner and judge of the County Court of Victoria.

This is an exclusive event and numbers are capped. Ticket prices are currently being negotiated the full cost of $100 per person is being subsidised by RMIT University and the RMIT Law Students' Society. It is expected that tickets will be no more than $40. For a night of French cheese and wine on the doorsteps of Parliament House? That's a bargain!

Booking information will be released shortly. Save the date in your diary now!

This event is open to RMIT JD Alumni and students who are in their last year of studies.

With thanks to RMIT University College of Business Alumni Office and the RMIT Law Students' Society.
