Oh baby lawyers (law students) there are so many of you out there that recently missed out on a clerkship. It's absolutely fucking devastating until you realise that at the end of the day, in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't actually matter.

Trust me, I can say this with experience I missed out on every single application I submitted, I gave myself one full day that I was allowed to gloat, bitch, moan, complain, eat everything I wanted, eat everything I wanted again, and then assess where to from there.

I didn't have trouble finding a job afterwards, but that's besides the point now.  If you missed out on a clerkship it will feel like the world is caving in on itself and all your study was for nothing. I felt so bad about it I decided to run away to the Top End just to mope. Here is a video of me moping. Sorry for the terrible quality, I was in a hotel room and I was kind of pissed off- it looks a bit like a video where I'm being held hostage...

Ok, so I missed out on a clerkship position at a firm. So there, I said it, now what? I know that this video has a distinct Gen X feel to it. Don't get what you want, make blog about it. I'm aware that I'm probably living up to that stereotype.
